Coach Dale joined PAL Elite baseball in 2012 as a hitting and outfield coach. He started coaching in 2004 as a volunteer for the Sandy Hook Little League and ended up as the manager for 3 all-star teams. In 2008 he started coaching with the Middletown Warriors and NJ Wolfpack travel baseball teams. Over his 5-year tenure with these teams they won tournaments in Delaware, Massachusetts, and NJ, as well as winning the top tier of their USABL division six times. At least six players from these teams have committed to play college baseball so far (including his son Ben) and a few more seem to be on that path.
As a player in the 1970s, Coach Dale was a 4-year varsity starter at Nonnewaug HS in Connecticut as a catcher and outfielder. After high school he continued to play semi-pro summer ball for the Bethlehem Ploughboys of the Tri-State Baseball League. He was an outfielder for teams that won the league in 1979 and 1980.
Currently, Coach Dale coaches the Henry Hudson HS baseball team in Highlands and teaches US and World history at Perth Amboy HS.
